When should you avoid drinking water?

Drinking water to an adequate level is good for health. However there are times when you should avoid drinking water.
One of such time when you should avoid drinking water is when you are having food.
Food is digested in the stomach by various enzymes which include even some enzymes of acidic nature. Water neutralizes the acids in the stomach making them less capable of digesting food.
Also, drinking water excessively can push the food from the stomach to the intestines quickly thus preventing their digestion completely or partially.
This can lead to indigestion and acidity. Also they can lead to bowel problems.
Hence, avoid having water when eating as much as possible.
Have your water intake 15 to 30 minutes before having a meal. The avoid drinking water during eating and 15 to 30 minutes after having your food.
